School is OUT! I'chiliad not sure if there'south a better fashion to celebrate school being out, than spending time outside with the kiddos in the Summertime! Oh expect… yes there is!
Spending time outside with the kiddos AND creating a boat load {or cart} of fun for them besides! 😉
Information technology is the end of my sons starting time year of school AND his birthday! Then I wanted to do something for him to help celebrate the ii milestones!
I secretly snuck out to Walmart, to purchase all the goodies for his big surprise.
I picked up Skittles®…
M&M's® {both regular & peanut} & some LifeSavers®…
and M&G Ice Cream Cookies®…
My son had NO idea what was going on that day when I got home. All he knew, was I was going in-and-out of the business firm with some pretty practiced looking items.
When he stepped exterior, he couldn't BELIEVE his eyes!
Wait at all of that Candy!!!! And ice cream, bubbles, and h2o guns, and balloons, and…
…he was a bit excited.
He was in store for an afternoon Total of fun, considering I had something else upwardly my sleeve!
DIY Water Gun Candy Tie-Dye Shirts Tutorial:
My boys are nonetheless pretty lilliputian, so I always try to think of something fun to do that won't entice them to put something in their mouth, that they're non supposed to. So I got to thinking…
Why not use Skittles®, to make their ain colored "water," for their water guns!!? Let's make it even better, and put them in white shirts so they can encounter the "war wounds!?"
Who knew we'd make their own Tie-Dye shirts while we were at it! 🙂
Summer Fun Activity for the Kids
I grabbed a few clear plastic cups, and clear carbonated beverage. I wanted my kids to see the "buzz," of the color coming off of the Skittles®, dying it all of the different colors. But you could use h2o I'm sure! {Information technology would be less "sticky."} I let my son pour out the liquid in to the cup, to help him with his hand-centre coordination. {aaaand just because we were outside.} 🙂 I only put about a one/iv cup in each drinking glass, because really… you lot don't need a whole lot of it for the water gun for this little activity. Plus, less liquid, means stronger in color…
Adjacent, I had him option out all of the reds, all of the purples, all of the greens, and all of the yellows. {another bully learning activeness!}
His next task was to put all of the separated colors in to their own cup, and watch the colors dissolve in to the liquid!!!
After well-nigh 5 minutes of watching the liquid alter colors… information technology was reading to pour in to the h2o guns! One color at a fourth dimension of course!
Since my son had never really played with water guns earlier, I let him experiment on the sidewalk earlier actually putting the shirt on and going to town with his little blood brother. 😉
The boys slipped on their shirts, grabbed some sunglasses off of the cart, and started firing the h2o guns!
After a couple of hours of beingness outside playing with the summer goodies…They were Exhausted…
and this momma was beat… 🙂
P.S. I permit the shirts dry for a twenty-four hours or two, and so let them wear it again. Hee Hee. Not sure how well the colors will stay afterwards washing, BUT… make sure you wash it alone, and not with anything else, or the colors may drain!
I incertitude you want that white shirt of yours, tie-dye! 😉 I also wanted to give you all a freebie for your Summer fun, to celebrate schoolhouse beingness out! I just wish I would have created this before mine, and so I could have framed it in a cutie-patootie white frame, and included it on the candy cart!
I'chiliad thinking y'all could apply this to surprise your kiddo too! Put information technology in an envelope and have him/her open it to come across the surprised expect on their confront!! Ahhh… so fun! Options are countless! Get your printable here: School's Out! Permit's Celebrate I'd Dear to hear your Summer activities, of what makes your Summer fun at your house!
